Surprise, Surprise

So I'm looking forward to enjoying a thick 14 inches this weekend.

Of snow, perverts.

So far, we've had a very warm winter with scarcely any precipitation whatsoever. I was exceedingly bummed about it, because I could sorely use a snow day right about now. I mean, the kids are driving me right out of my ever-loving mind with their whining, neighbor-talking, note-passing, lazy-ass ways. So I really am looking forward to a nice blizzard.

The forecast for this Nor'easter is between 6 and 14 inches. If I only get 6, I'll feel cheated. I mean, wouldn't you?

  • Ooo...Lord no! I don't do snow...I don't do cold weather at all! I'll be 38 this year and I have yet to see snow! :)

    I'm a wuss...what can I say? :)

  • I just read it on WPVI's website. Great. My rents are in Chapel hill NC this weekend. Now they're stuck. And I seriously have to go food shopping tomorrow. There won't be anything LEFT!!

  • Weather can be such a pain. I mean, I really want to wear my new cords, but it's 80 degrees here. And has been all week.

....::sigh:: it's funny how no one feels sorry for Californians in the winter.

Hang in there and stay warm sweetie.

  • i can't WAIT. this has been the worst winter ever. i am completely sick of springlike weather. i spent all of january waiting for the temp to drop 30 degrees so it could start snowing. (so yes, i am someone who feels sorry for californians during the winter)

but i'm also expecting to be disappointed. how many 6-12 inch storms have turned into 1/2 inch of snow followed by 2 days of cold rain. the nor'easter hype is always overdone and rarely accurate.

i hope i'm wrong, but we might not get much. i miss snow so much. i'll take it any day, even a saturday

  • If we get more than an inch the entire country grinds to a halt.
    We never learn.

  • Sigh...I miss snow too. It's been unseasonably warm here in South Carolina...even for South Carolina. Of course, I hope it's loverly and warm when you're here this week (yay! this week!), but I do miss snow.

  • we've had hardly any snow either. it's been the warmest, driest winter I've seen since moving here. I'm sure we'll get hit with something bad this year sometime...its like karma.

  • If it doesnt snow at least once this month here we're all doomed...doomed...doomed, I tell you.
