Updates, long overdue

It seems that with the new year, many of my favorite reads have decided that they'd just close up shop and feck off. Being a ridiculously sentimental sort, I've waited an unduly long time to delete them. But, alas, the time has come to clean house in that regard. Soooooo...

Goodbye to my old friends, and hello to some new ones. Please check out my sidebar for some new reads.

  • whew! i made the cut.

    i usually give a site a whole year of inactivity before i delete the link. but i'll delete a link without a waiting period as soon as i decide i've lost interest in reading the site. sometimes the second rule works as a loophole around the first. after 9 months of no posts i'm usually not interested any more.

  • Noz, of COURSE you made the cut. Some of the deletes were IRL friends who'd decided to stop blogging and had already deactivated their blogs. Others, like Elastic Waist, were websites that went belly-up due to the economy. That led to some real finds, though, like yon great big mannie Jimmy Bastard.

    I luuuuuurve reading Jimmy, as he blogs with a Scottish accent - and you may or may not know that a Scottish accent leaves me weak in the knees... There's something about a Scot - like Sean Connery. Sheventy yearsh old, and shtill a shexy auld bashtart.
