Evolution

I've been having issues with the people who want stickers placed on high school textbooks, warning students that information on Evolution is contained therein. The Gooch at Hube's Cube and I have been chatting about it. What about you?

  • Being in favor of a full-blown American theocracy, I'm for the stickers as a temporary measure.

By the way, congratulations on the 30 pounds.

  • Very timely topic. My brother (the agriculture teacher) and I were discussing it with his kids when we were visiting them in NC last weekend. Interestingly enough, (considering he's a somewhat rabid republican), we were on the same page...almost literally. We all happen to believe that Christianity and Evolution can co-exist quite happily, thank-you very much. Jeff and I were going on about this article, in the November 04 National Geographic:

While my brother ran to get their copy of the latest "Discover" magazine with a similar cover story:

Thank God the scientists are still talking sense at least.

(And this comes to you from a church-going Christian, mind you).
